This book is based on a young version of the famous female Mexican artist Frida Kahlo (1907-1954) and by taking inspiration from her work and subject matter (still lifes, portraits with animals) and popping on some rose-colored glasses and seeing what her world might have been like before her bus accident, surgeries and unibrow. The book is educational in many aspects, as Frida greets each animal they come along with her searching for the others. By the end of the book, all the animals are together allowing the reader to practice the English/ Spanish words and say goodnight to all of their animal friends.
